About
The NWGA Center for Independent Living is a nonprofit organization established on January 3, 2004. We serve 18 counties. Nothing about us without us. The vast majority of our staff have disabilities. Our core services include independent living skills training, information & referral, peer mentoring, self-advocacy, and transition support. We offer several programs to support our community in various ways. Some of the programs we offer include the Alzheimer's Association Caring Closet, home modifications (such as wheelchair ramps), assistive Tools and technology, emergency preparedness & weather alert radios for individuals who are deaf or have hearing impairments. We have a wide variety of assistive technology devices available for demonstration, in partnership with Tools for Life. If you are interested in a demonstration of any of these devices, please don't hesitate to contact us at 706-314-0008 or info@nwgacil.org.
