The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's maintenance department. This role ensures that all building systems, guest rooms, and public areas are functioning efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and committed to delivering a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.


Respond promptly to guest room and public area maintenance requests.


Supervise and train maintenance staff (if applicable), ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.


Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; order replacements as needed.


Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.


Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and brand standards.


Monitor energy usage and implement cost-saving initiatives.


Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.


Support hotel operations during emergencies (e.g., power outages, water leaks).


Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure guest satisfaction.


🧰 Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.


Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.


Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair.


Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.


Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


Strong communication and organizational abilities.


Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (indoors/outdoors).


Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
